Ciara Barrett, LLC
Ciara assists the elderly and persons in need, who reside at home or in senior living, by providing various non-medical Caregiving services. She works directly with people to enhance their quality of life while also providing a sense of relief for their families.
Elder Experience
Growing up in Cork, Ireland, Ciara started working with elderly neighbors at a young age. She ran errands from grocery shopping, walking or caring for pets, playing piano, or simply offered companionship by sitting and sharing a cup of tea. The mutual enjoyment experienced is why Ciara came to love just being with her aging neighbors.
As a student, Ciara volunteered for a number of years with Students Harness Aid for the Relief of the Elderly (SHARE), a charitable Irish organization dedicated to the needs of the elderly. Ciara spent her weekends either visiting with the members of SHARE, providing companionship and meals or raising much-needed funds.

Ciara
received a
Diploma in Rural Development, from University College Cork (UCC), which focused on the changes in environment and sustainability for rural locations in Ireland, predominately made up of the elderly. She spent a considerable amount of time meeting the rural communities to understand their needs.
From 2013-2018, Ciara cherished a most profound opportunity - as that of a caregiver for her Aunt Maire with Alzheimer’s who sadly passed away from Pneumonia in 2018, at age 98. Providing companionship, transportation, cooking, humor and generally helping to ensure the comfort of her Aunt on a regular basis was a beautiful experience that Ciara will never forget.
Personal Experience
Ciara has worked in the business community fulfilling various customer service and technical roles and most recently the Pet Care Industry. Ciara resides in the West Seattle neighborhood of Seattle. She is a classically trained musician, a good cook and an animal lover. She holds a BA from UCC, Ireland where she graduated with honors. Ciara is a member and certified with the American Caregiver Association and also volunteers with the West Seattle Senior Center.
Ciara started her own business to honor the memory of her Aunt with Alzheimer’s and her past experiences with aging neighbors.
